Christine Charbonneau is a longtime national leader in the fight for reproductive rights. She is the host of a soon-to-be-released podcast called the Fall of Roe exploring the human toll of changes in the landscape of access to abortion services. While serving as the CEO of Planned Parenthoods Seattle-based affiliate for nearly 40 years, she expanded it across six states to become Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, and Kentucky, with over 700 employees. She was the longest-serving Planned Parenthood affiliate CEO in the country at the time she left that position in December 2021. A Seattle native, Chris earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees, both in History, from the University of Washington. She started working for Planned Parenthood as a college volunteer. She has served for nearly 20 years on the board of the philanthropic group Washington Women's Foundation, and for a dozen years served on and chaired the board of Afaxys a mission-driven, a socially conscious business enterprise dedicated to serving the women's healthcare needs of the public health providers and their patients.
