Heidi Lieb-Williams is Chair of the Governors Council on Disabilities and Special Education. She serves as a member of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities Leadership Circle and was the 2020 NACDD Betty Williams Champion of Equality Award recipient. She is the 2022 Global Women's Peace Network HerStory Award recipient and the 2022 Elite Ms. National Heart of America and has received numerous other awards and recognitions. She is a passionate and constant advocate, in Alaska and nationally, for those with disabilities, including a speech on the Capitol steps and, this month, a keynote address at the White House. Her business, Puzzled with Purpose Autistically-Inspired Creations, helps other Autistic individuals working on crafting, sewing, job, entrepreneurial, communication, social, and advocacy skills, and she founded the Shining Abilities Craft Fair featuring only artists with disabilities. She has also developed special needs and drama ministries within churches and is currently writing a children's book and producing a short film.
