Meet Vicky Ho, New Managing Editor, Anchorage Daily News

Vicky Ho is the managing editor of the Anchorage Daily News. She was born and raised in the Houston, Texas, area and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a major in English and a minor in architecture. While at UT, she worked for the independent student newspaper, The Daily Texan. In 2011, she joined the Steamboat Pilot & Today staff in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where she learned how to ski while working her way up from copy editor to evening editor. In 2015, Vicky was hired by the Daily News as a copy editor and page designer and over time became night homepage editor, then deputy editor/online, before she was named managing editor in February 2022. An avid skier and hiker, Vicky previously wrote an outdoors column for the ADN and worked part-time at REI in Anchorage. She is a coach with the Poynter Institute's Table Stakes program, which helps news organizations across the country pursue financial and organizational sustainability through performance-driven change and audience-centric journalism.
